The switchgear market consists of a large range of products designed for the production, distribution, and utilization of electrical energy.
HEF has developed a surface treatment for electrical appliances: CERTESS® ELEC.
This treatment relies on thin-film stacks that modify the electrical properties of the surfaces, using extremely pure materials to ensure optimal performance. PEMS™ technology enables precise application on all types of substrates and geometries. It offers excellent reproducibility of electrical properties as well as control of the thickness and states of the surfaces. The coatings are also resistant to aggressive chemicals.
CERTESS® ELEC is compatible with a broad range of materials, including glass, technical plastics, composites, ceramics, cermets, metals, and alloys. It can be applied on electrical components, connections, sensors, and printed circuits, for example.
For metallic supports, HEF also offers a coating range of electrolytic solutions (silver, nickel, copper, etc.) that make it possible to combine electrical conductivity with other properties such as accommodation, solderability or ductility.
These coatings enable you to preserve the desired electrical properties, even for parts that will subsequently be worked (crimped connections, soldered connections, etc.).
